How about a day of gathering, making pie and adventuring in the mountains of Montana?

I love to make pie and I'd love to spend the day doing so with you! In this hands-on, six-hour workshop you will learn how to make and sculpt my favorite pie crust and you will craft your very own masterpiece to take home and share with your loved ones (or to eat all by yourself). You will also receive a few recipe cards featuring a selection of my favorite sweet and savory pies and a pie tote, handcrafted from the farm's feed sack bags.

The Make Pie Workshop will be held at Middle Bear Farm in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley in western Montana. A working farm owned and operated by the fabulous Cindy Jimmerson, Middle Bear Farm is cozy and gorgeous with a sweeping view of the Rocky Mountains. We will make pie together in Cindy's kitchen. Space is limited to 12 participants.

There is also an option to spend the night at Middle Bear Farm.

All supplies included, except the pie dish. Bring your own pie plate! If you'd like, you may purchase a wooden PieBox to carry your pie home all snug and styley.

For the love of pie,
Nici Holt Cline

AGENDA

11-12: arrive, chat and eat pie

12-1:30: make apple pie

1:30: lunch, made by me. Probably some sort of wholesome soup.

After lunch: While the pies cook, participants will have a few hours to choose their own adventure: hike up Bear Creek, journal by the pond, read by the fire, hang with the sheep, sip wine and chat, wander and photograph, help farmer Cindy make her famous honey ice cream...

4-5: Gather together and marvel at our pies while we say our goodbyes

OR

Stay the night! For an additional $60, you can sleep at Middle Bear Farm. Cindy's home sleeps 12 comfortably (first come, first served regarding bed choice; click here to see options.) And Cindy will make you a delicious breakfast in the morning too! The weather can be iffy in April, but if you'd rather pitch a tent on the farm you sure can for $20. Breakfast also included for campers.
